In the UK, dating sites are now required by the Online Safety Act to verify users’ ages to protect young people from accessing adult content and services. It is now illegal for under-18s to access such services, including dating platforms.
Our age verification partner, Ondato uses 'age estimation' to verify that a user is over 18. It uses facial analysis to predict how old a person is likely to be. The method is a quick and simple way of accurately 'guessing' someone’s age without asking for official ID.

Our age verification via Ondato is very quick and really easy to do. All that is required is a selfie taken using your webcam or your phone camera via the verification software. No personal information is ever saved or stored. Below describes the verification steps:
STEP 1
Complete the sign-up form to create your account.
STEP 2
You will then be presented with a button to start age verification.
STEP 3
Select 'I am a new visitor'
STEP 4
Select 'Continue'
STEP 5
To take a selfie you first need to 'Grant' access to your camera.
Desktop users: If you are using a computer and have access to a camera phone we highly recommend clicking on 'Switch Device' to use your phone to take the selfie.
STEP 6
You are now ready to take a selfie. Click 'Start' to start the process.
STEP 7
The camera will then activate. Place your head within the oval and click 'I'm ready' when your head is centred.
STEP 8
Once you successful verify your age 'Success!' will be displayed on the screen. You will be invited to save your verification status. As we will only ask you to verify once you can 'Skip' this option if you wish.
STEP 9
Congratulations! You have now successfully verified your age and your account is fully activated. Click on 'Sign-in' to proceed to the members area.
